WITHIN THE RAIN
Today the rains have brought to me
the image of yourself.
The silver sheets, the glistening leaves,
the pulsing of the limbs.
I feel the moisture on my skin
and think of you as rain.
Tapping on my face and neck
and flowing down my chest.
Touching lightly all of me
and sensing every angle.
Curving round and flowing slow
and dripping on the ground
forming little streams of you
like rivers to the sea.Your water eyes and water lips,
your misty hair and skin.
All within this aqueous perception
I see within my dream.
I close my hands to form a cup
and catch a part of you.
For some to pour upon myself,
and some to drink in deep.
Although the little I collect compared
to all the rains of you,
Is love enough for me to keep,
and love enough to live,
-- when I can be within the rain,
-- and we within the stream
