The Houston Poetry Fest event is again at the Welcome Center Tour Room, on the third floor of the new Girard St. Building. It has good acoustics and seats roughly 150 people. The Welcome Center Lobby is just outside it, and a nearby room will serve for the reception, refreshments, book sales, etc., with plenty of room for tables and for socializing.
The parking garage entrance is on Girard St. off Travis. In some ways, including parking, this will be an easier venue to access. Besides the garage there is parking with meters behind the building, Also, it would be very easy to take the light rail train to UHD and simply walk through on the same floor from One Main to the Girard St. Building —all enclosed, all connected. The elevator is just inside the vehicle entrance and it opens onto the Welcome Center lobby on the 3rd floor.
