Katherine Hoerth is the author of five poetry books, including Goddess Wears Cowboy Boots, which won the Helen C. Smith Prize from the Texas Institute of Letters and The Lost Chronicles of Slue Foot Sue (Angelina River Press, 2017). She is an Assistant Professor of English at Lamar University and serves as Editor-in-Chief of Lamar University Literary Press. Her work has been published in journals such as Pleiades, Southwestern Review, and THINK. Katherine is also the 2017 Langdon Review Writer in Residence and the Vice President of the Texas Association of Creative Writing Teachers. She lives in Beaumont, Texas.
