Raie Crawford a Houston native and 15 year writer continues to mold her craft by exploring various realms of writing and performing in the community and abroad. She has performed at venues such as Houston Improv, Warehouse Live, Heart and Soul, The Shout and many more. A two year member of The Houston VIP Slam Team (ranked 5th in the nation), and their reigning Grand Slam Champion 2017 she has had the privilege of perfecting her craft under the direction of Houston’s current Poet Laurette Deborah “DEEP” Mouton.

Known in Houston as the “Trap Poet” Raie enjoys working with and supporting slam teams in her community and abroad by bringing her one of a kind personality on stage.

An advocate for women rights within minority communities Raie has created a community conversation "A Conversation for Colored Girls" which aims to educate all minorities who identify as woman on various local and national-level issues by creating transformative dialogue that will arm them with the tools needed to serve themselves and their communities. It is her goal to create these conversations nationwide to give way to better dialog in minority communities.
